I inherited my love for animals
from my mother and God gave me a talent for relating to and working with
animals. As a kid I might chase a stray dog all over town and then tell my mom,
"he followed me home". I've almost never been without a dog.
At one point in my life I owned two toy poodles and enrolled in dog grooming
school with no idea that I'd ever own my own kennel/grooming shop.
I acquired my first Gordon Setter in 1972, enrolled in obedience training
class, and discovered the world of dog shows and field trials.
In 1979 I was blessed to become builder-owner of my own kennel, the Chaparral
Animal Spa, where we consider it an honor to have your beloved pet in our care.
We will do our best to allay your fears and concerns regarding leaving your
pet. We give your pet tender lovin' care, when you're not there! Try
